I’ll be the first in my family to make a college degree, which’s something I hold extremely near my heart.
My family members and I transferred to the USA in 2014 We chose Memphis as our 2nd home to start fresh and build a better future.
When I finished secondary school in 2020, I chose to join the Army Reserve so I can function permanent to assist sustain my household monetarily. Along the road, my parents constantly advised me of the value of an university degree. Truthfully, I dealt with the choice in between picking job over school.
That changed when I discovered the University of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I could make my degree 100 % online from an approved, nationally identified Carnegie R 1 college. The versatility of the program made it possible to stabilize work, life, and education. As soon as I signed up, I recognized I made the right option.
As an online pupil, I stayed involved with campus life with occupation fairs and signing up with student companies like the Culture of Personnel Administration. I intended to get the most out of my university experience and connect with people who shared my interest for HR.
Last November, I released to Kuwait, with a month left of loss term. Many thanks to the support and framework of UofM International, I was able to finish strong, also making the Dean’s Listing. I’m taking four courses while serving on active duty, and I’m pleased to state I’ll be finishing in May.
Having the ability to offer my country, support my household, and make my degree indicates the globe to me. I feel prepared to take on whatever comes next.
